Terms of
Service.

Last Updated: August 30, 2026. The terms that govern quotes, proofs, production, and delivery of your custom packaging.

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of packadex.com and any packaging you order from Packadex. By requesting a quote, approving a proof, or placing an order, you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and any business you represent. If you are ordering for a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind that company.

2. Quotes and Pricing

Quotes are based on the specifications you supply: dimensions, material, print method, finishing, and quantity. A quote is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise on the quote itself. Because paper, board, and freight costs move, we may re-quote if you order after that window or if your specifications change. Pricing excludes taxes, duties, and shipping unless the quote says they are included.

3. Artwork and Proofs

You are responsible for supplying print-ready artwork that matches the dieline we provide. We issue a digital proof for every order and, on request, a physical sample. Production does not begin until you approve the proof in writing. Once approved, that proof is the reference for the entire run: errors present in an approved proof, including spelling, layout, and color values, become your responsibility. If you need a change after approval, contact us immediately and we will tell you whether the job can still be stopped.

4. Color Matching

Screens and printed board do not render color identically. We match Pantone references as closely as the chosen substrate and print process allow, and kraft, recycled, and uncoated stocks shift color more than coated white board. Unless you have purchased a physical press proof, minor variation between your monitor, the digital proof, and the delivered product is not considered a defect.

5. Quantity Tolerance

Custom printing and die-cutting are subject to standard industry over-run and under-run tolerance of plus or minus 5 percent of the ordered quantity. We invoice for the quantity actually delivered. If you require a guaranteed minimum count, tell us before production and we will quote the run accordingly.

6. Lead Times and Delivery

Lead times quoted are estimates measured from written proof approval and receipt of payment, not from the date of your enquiry. We will tell you promptly if a job is running late. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the goods are handed to the carrier. Carrier transit times are outside our control, and we are not liable for delays caused by customs, weather, or carrier failure.

7. Payment Terms

Unless we have agreed credit terms in writing, custom orders are paid in full before production begins. Approved account customers are invoiced on net 30 terms. Overdue balances may accrue interest at 1.5 percent per month or the maximum permitted by law, whichever is lower. We may pause production or withhold delivery on accounts that are past due.

8. Cancellations and Changes

You may cancel at no cost any time before you approve the proof. After approval, custom packaging moves quickly into plate-making, material purchasing, and press scheduling, and cancellation may not be possible. If a job can be stopped, you remain responsible for the materials, tooling, and labor already committed. Custom dielines and printing plates are produced for your job specifically and are not refundable once made.

9. Inspection, Defects, and Returns

Please inspect your delivery within 10 business days of receipt. Report any manufacturing defect, shortage, or damage in that window with photographs and your order number. Verified manufacturing defects will be reprinted or refunded at our option. Because every order is manufactured to your specification, custom packaging is not returnable for change of mind, incorrect specifications you supplied, or errors present in an approved proof.

10. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your logos, artwork, and brand assets, and you grant us a limited license to reproduce them for the purpose of manufacturing your order and, unless you tell us otherwise in writing, to show the finished packaging in our portfolio. You warrant that you hold the rights to everything you send us. Dielines, structural designs, and templates that Packadex creates remain our property. Content on this website, including copy, photography, and design, belongs to Packadex.

11. Regulatory Compliance

Packaging for regulated products, including food contact, cannabis and CBD, vape, pharmaceutical, medical device, and child-resistant applications, is subject to rules that vary by jurisdiction and change over time. We will advise on materials and structures and supply relevant certifications where we hold them, but you are responsible for confirming that your finished packaging, including all printed claims and labeling, complies with the law wherever you sell.

12. Sustainability Claims

Where we describe a material as recyclable, compostable, recycled-content, or FSC certified, that description applies to the substrate as supplied to us and is documented on request. Recyclability in practice depends on local collection infrastructure and on finishing choices such as lamination and foil. You are responsible for the accuracy of any environmental claim you print on your packaging.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost sales, missed launch dates, or the cost of the products placed inside the packaging. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Before starting formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith by contacting the other in writing and allowing 30 days for a response.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that governs that order. Material changes will be reflected in the Last Updated date above.
