Does my cannabis packaging have to be child-resistant?

In many US markets, yes, and the requirement is tied to a certified closure mechanism rather than a printed claim. Requirements differ by state and change often. Tell us your markets at quote stage and we will specify accordingly, though confirming that your finished packaging complies is your responsibility as the licensee.

Will the required warnings fit alongside my branding?

They fit if planned first. We map panel space for THC and CBD content, state warning symbols, batch and lot numbers, and licensee details before the brand artwork goes on. Designing artwork first and fitting compliance copy afterwards is the most common cause of late redesigns in this category.

Can packaging protect against odor and light?

Barrier liners and opaque board are both available. Cannabis products are sensitive to light and readily transfer odor, so where the product needs more than structural protection we specify a barrier rather than relying on the carton alone.

Are recyclable options available for cannabis packaging?

Recycled kraft board is popular with craft brands and prints well in single colors and metallic-effect inks. Note that some child-resistant components and barrier coatings affect recyclability, so we will flag that tradeoff for your specific build rather than leaving you to discover it later.
